Test Stand

Not sure if this is the correct forum for this discussion.  If it isn't, mod's please move.

Through the build of my QuadRotor, I have come to the realization that tuning the control system, experimentation and general flying practice needs to be safely controlled so that I don't wind up wasting a lot of money.  To that end, I have designed a Test Stand to work with my QuadRotor (although it could be used for other helicopter configurations as well).

Here is a link:

What do you guys think?

About a month after I designed this, I saw a similar design on the internet, although it might even have been here.  Great minds think alike right...

    David,

Very ambitious. Though, the test stand probably costs more than my "standard design" Aeroquad quadrarotor.

You might want to take a look at this quadracopter tests stand on RC Groups: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=13951748&postcoun...

Not quite as fancy or as robust, but I am sure that it gets the job done with standard hobby shop parts.

    TCIII
