They Don't Match? PDB instructions

Hello Everyone,

 

In my quest to figure out why my drone is not going as plan I have gone over each step of the process starting with the PDB.

 

The instructions that came with the PDB shows the image of the red and black leads going to one locations.  While the text just below the image states something different.

I will say when I hook up my meter to the "GND, 5V" I get nothing, while when I hook it up to the location in the image I get a reading.

    Hi Jason - If you don't mind can you please let me know how you did your wiring. My guess is that I can use any of the + / -  or the GND / 5V Out holes but it would be nice to know for sure.

    Hi Jason,

    Can you post a picture showing how you have soldered up your PDB.

    I have a jDrones quad and the PDB is slightly different from your one, but I think that the connections are pretty much the same.

    The red and black two wire power cable should be soldered to the two connections shown as + and - exactly as shown on the location on the image, black is negative.

    They pick up power from the ESC which is connected to motor No4 and supply regulated power to your APM board.

    I agree with you that the wording that has been used in the instructions " GND" and "5V OUT" is misleading.
