Tricopter slow yaw oscillation

Over the last couple of flights I've been getting a reasonably small, but significant oscillation of my yaw when no stick input is provided. It yaws for about a second in either direction. If I input a slight amount of yaw using the stick, it will stop it, but it will return when I release the stick.

What could cause this? It's the wavy lines... Log is also attached.

  • Sorry I don't have access to anything at the moment, but I can tell you it wasn't PID related. The problem was the servo I was using at the time was too slow (BMS-385dmax - 0.15s if I recall). I replaced it with a faster servo (D-MG16 - 0.08s) and never had any more problems with yaw oscillation.
  • Hi Glenn,

I'm getting the same issue in my tricopter with 2.7.1. What version are to using? Could you post your PID settings?
