Hi Folks,
After this thread (http://diydrones.com/forum/topics/a-noob-flying) I did some flying tonight and played around with the Alt hold and position hold with some odd results.
Details:
3DR Quad
AMP oil pan V1? (Blue one)
Mega 2560
Sonar
2200 3S battery
Arducopter V2.2 b2
Spektrum DX8
First issue was while on Alt hold, it started to descend from about 2m. When about a 1m off the ground, I flicked it back to stabalize but it refused to respond to anything. it continued to descend until it landed but the props were still spinning. it would not disarm or respond to throttle. It then started tap dancing on the ground as if it wanted to lift off. I held it down and disconnected the battery.
Second issue was similar. I was in "Position" mode and it started to wonder. I switched back to stabalize and nothing happened. Again it stopped responding to any input. This time though, it was not descending but kept it's altitude but was now going into the neighbours garden. Some quick legwork saved it.
On both occasions the radio was still working because (assumption warning) the rx light was on and I was receiving telemetry back from the 'copter onto the radio so everything seemed alive.
Any tips? Could this be a software bug or something else?
I can provide logs if needed.
thanks
Crispin

Logs as requested :)
Slight problem through, I don't know which log it is. Sorry. Not sure how to work out the time.
The tlog, it is towards the end of the log as after the position hold indecent, I stopped flying.
For the apm logs, there was one flight after the incident which was ok.
If you could tell me how to split the log into the important bits (2 minutes before the event) I could do that to help pin point the issue?

Logs are gold.
The Flash logs from APM are best.
