Hi guys,i'm an avid forum reader, i want to build a drone for my company. We deploy wireless networks. To calculate if a link is going to work right you need to do a path a check, for obstructions. this is based on satellite imagery, but some how for detailed planning is low res. what i wanto to do is build an UAV, that can map altitude with some how high resolution.Any ideas guys ?

You might want to look into laser rangefinders and use them to generate point clouds. They're accurate, fast, but most of them are expensive. For example this one for $500.
The way you'd measure the height of a ground feature above the sea level would be something like GPS_or_baro_altitude_of_the_plane - altitude_from_laser.
