Ublox 3DR compass problems Pixhawk

Hi, I can't get my external 3DR ublox compass calibrated in MissionPlanner. Two different weird things I've noticed:

1. When I plug in the ublox compass onto the Pixhawk's I2C port BEFORE powering the Pixhawk (by USB) this happens: when I plug in the USB cable, the right B/E light flashes and the power LED does not flash. I'm not able to connect to MissionPlanner now...

2. When I plug in the ublox compass onto the Pixhawk's I2C port AFTER a connection with MissionPlanner has been made this happens: when I try to calibrate the compass... no data points are gathered during the 60seconds...

I'm using MissionPlanner 1.2.97 and AC:3.1.2
