Hi guys,
My APM 2.6 got 'locked' or something: red LED is flashing at approx 1 Hz and I can't arm or even connect via Mission Planner. I've read it could help to erase the EEPROM and reset but I I didn't manage. What I've tried, unsuccessfully, so far is:
- Press the reset button on the board.
- Use Mission Planner (1.2.98 and 1.2.95 in two different laptops: I used them before this problem appeared) to connect via MAVlink and also via terminal to manually erase and reset. I also tried to upload new FW via regular page and the wizard (attached images of the messages).
- Use APM Planner 2.0 (it also worked till this problem showed up) to connect via MAVlink and also via terminal to manually erase and reset.
- In all cases connecting to MP or APM Planner I tried using the telemetry port (except for uploading FW) and USB.
- I tried to erase the EEPROM and also upload the FW 3.0.1 with Arduino IDE (and the modified Arduino IDE that includes the Ardupilot menu)
I read as much as I can in this forum and the Arducopter pages on code.google.com but I run out of ideas... First think I want to do is to manage to erase the EEPROM somehow! Unless someone knows a better solution and why this has happened.
Thanks,
Pau

Hello,
can you connect to the APM serial interface to CLI?
Thanks for the quick answer OG.
Not sure what you mean but I guess I did not try this: I've been only using the micro USB port and telemetry module. What do I need to connect via serial interface?
I do have an FTDI cable from 3DR for the minimOSD and an adaptor GPS-FTDI as well, in case it can be of help to connect to the APM.
hello,
1. your boot loader may have been destroyed!
2. you may have damaged your serial interface shared with USB, jut use another serial interface on the board instructions are posted in the Wiki on how to do that.
Thanks OG. I will soon have time to dive into the problem again: I was so frustrated I put it aside for few days.
