Understanding ArduPilot codes

I am an engineering student and in the process of understanding the ArduPilot specifically ArduCopter source code. I would like to humbly post the following questions to the developers:

1. Do I start from ArduCopter.pde and explore from there; or do I start from the ArduCopter libraries?
Which approach is better?

2. What source code analysis/organization tools compatible with Arduino/eclipse that the developers use?

I hope you guys can help me. Thank you.

  • Hi, you can start from system.pde.
Tools? Try CTRL-H in eclipse, Text tab. That's what you have of tools.
