Unexpected behavior in Loiter mode

Hello everyone,

So, I'm new to multirotors and i might have some troubles understanding the details, but here's the deal:

On the last couple of flights, just randomly, on loiter or auto mode the copter suddenly starts drifting hard (ending up crashing). My first thought was that either one of the ESC's or motors or output connection had a trouble. So i downloaded the logs and apparently everything is all right with the hardware, but the APM is giving odd commands. I checked for correlation with other signals from the log (like satelites number) but found nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Here's a screenshot of the log:

Here's a video of the crash:

I also attached the log file.

So, does any of you have any clue about what could had caused this behavior?

Cheers,

Matei.

my configuration:

hexa, x mode, apm 2.5, F550 frame, RC timer 1000kv, simonK ESC's, carbon fiber 10x4.5 prop., 3S 6600mAh batt.

  • Hi, a friend of mine had a similar situation. His quad suddenly started to bank left in loiter mode. It tilt angle was around 80 degrees. So far away from the 45 degree limit. Also no obvious reason for this behavior. At which angle did your hexa bank?
