Update Timeout Problem

Hi there,

I've been trying to get an update for the APM planner for a couple of hours now, but i keep getting timeouts. It says "Checking" - but nothing more happens.

I wanted to switch from "Arduplane" to "Arducopter" (I just finished my copter) but the APM planner always want to check online for the latest firmware. But it all ends with timeouts.

    I had this issue too but have solved it - my antivirus software was to blame, it was scanning the .exe files as they downloaded and causing the transfer to fail.

    I temporarily disabled "web download" and "on access" scanning and it all works.

    do you go througha proxy?
