Vacuum forming a multi copter frame

It might be affordable and easy to create a wooden 1/2-model of a multicopter frame and then vacuum form 2 identical pieces and attach them together so that it will make a multicopterframe. It could be done with transparent material also? Little elastic glue between the pieces and then it would be waterproof too. You could install the motors/electronics inside or outside the frame.

  • @Veikko:

Do you know any company in Finland that does customer-specific vacuum-forming for a reasonable price and any company that would sell suitable plastic sheets, like Kydex for reasonable prices?

  • May want to check out:

Personally, I like the looks of your wooden model as it is. 8-)

  • It will work.

Then again you will have to be careful to not infringe on copyrighted images... HERE.

In fact, there have been several molded quads with similar layout, most were hand-laid cloth and resin composites.
