Hello all!
I'm currently building my first hexa copter, built from the DIYdrones kit. Eveyrthing seems to be going well :)
My goal is to design a virtual interface (much like the ios/android proprietary apps which can be used to control the Parrot drone). I will be substituting this in place of a handheld physical RF controller.
I.e. the goal is to us the ardupilot mega 2.5 (purchased) to handle autopilot functions like stabilization, actual flight mechanics et, but to use a custom interface for generic commands that would normally be sent from a handheld RC device (up down, left right etc).
I admit I'm not sure what the best course is.
I mistakenly (?) thought the 3dr radio telemetry kit, which I also purchased, would handle this datalink, but now my understanding is that this is not for 'realtime' control.
Could anyone point me in the right direction here?
any insight would be most appreciated!
