Virus indication

Just wanted to ask if others have had (false?)positive indications with mission planner?

My comp just today indicated malware as follows. I know it is most probably false positive, but wanted to know what causes it.

Gen:Heur.MSIL.Krypt.2

in

APM Mission Planner 1.0.40\APM Mission Planner\resedit.exe

Any file named "resedit.exe" can easily be infected; the name does not make it safe, even "known" files can be infected.

If you want to verify the file, you are best off creating an md5sum of the file (ideally from a known-good operating system, such as a bootable CD) and comparing that to a known-good version of the same file elsewhere.

resedit.exe is a resource file editor, and not a virus, thats for sure.

I've gotten alerts like this from other BING site folders before.

AV software reacts like this to files which simply resemble known malware.

An actual "hit" would raise more of a stink than this.
