Waterproof UAV Self Landing in Water

I currently have a working UAV, and I was wondering if there was any information on water proofing of an existing UAV system. I was also curious if there was anyone who knew any methods of automous landing on water. It seems to present difficulties due to the fact that it's not a uniform flat surface. I'd appreciate any insight into these issues.

Check out the thread for converting a Great Planes Seawind to electric - a few of the guys on that thread give some good tips.
