yet another question thread by me..
I went flying with my plane again because I wanted to tune the PID values and other control parameters. The L1 control parameters are doing well but for the vertical "navigation" I can not find the right settings.
The mission was to fly a rectangular with a descend and climb of 50m on the longer straigt lines. Everytime the plane has to climb it increases thrust but doesn't move the elevator very much. It goes to fast and i have to catch it back in manual mode.
First of all i tried to adjust the P values of the Nav Pitch Alt while the Nav Pitch AS and Energy Alt were set to 0. When the P value reached 50 without any noticeable change in the flight behaviour I started with the P value of the Nav Pitch AS.
I tried different methods to find the right values but the bottom line is that the APM doesn't realy "want" to climb but only increases thrust.
Has anybody experianced something similliar and has a hint for me?
