I've only ever used the transmitter that came with my micro quadcopter. As I look at bigger and more capable craft, it seems like they're less likely to come with one.
What criteria might the 3D Robotics team have used to suggest (by default) the FlySky FS-TH9X bundle with their new ready-to-fly Iris? That's not a model I'd even considered until today's announcement... but it's also much less expensive than any other 9-channel model I'd looked at.
