What functionality is really available today?

I have placed an order for an Arducopter kit and I am very enthusiastic about this project. After looking through this site further and the Arducopter Wiki I am very confused however about what I will actually get for my money.

According to the Arducopter home page the following functions are in the "Feature list"

  • GPS for position hold
  • Magnetometer for heading determination
  • Barometer for altitude hold
  • IR sensor integration for obstacle avoidance
  • Sonar sensor for automated takeoff and landing capability
  • Automated waypoint navigation
  • Mounted camera stabilization capability

When I look through the issues in the Wiki it looks to me as though none of these are actually available or tested as working in the current release of the software.

Have I missed something?
