'm using a phantom2 with GoPro 3+. I'm trying to find the best - but most affordable way (I realize there's a tradeoff at a point) to get live video feed from the copter. I'm also not super techy so I don't want to get into too much customization and soldering, etc.

I also have an android tablet if that can be connected and used at all.

Thanks

  • This depends on what kind of range you want.

If you want miles and miles of range, go with a 1.3 ghz fpv system, or, like rob said, get some kind of rtf 5.8ghz fpv system, like the fatshark predator.

  • The easiest and cheapest way for you is to use the GoPro android app and watch the live video. Now you will probably only get 50 meters in the best conditions. Make sure your RC controller isn't on 2.4ghz as the go pro uses 2.4ghz wifi for the signal. The other way is to attach a 5.8ghz transmitter, some come with the cable for GoPro, and some sort of 5.8 receiver with a screen or goggles. The later doesn't provide the highest resolution but will give you better range and instantaneous video. I use the the 5.8 transmitter, GoPro 3 and Skyzone goggles for FPV and works great.
