Which parameter is wrong in ecalc?

I am using the ecalc website to check the parameters for battery, motor, ESC and props but I always end up with the warning " The Power is not sufficient to hover " or sometime " Static Thrust < Drive Weight ". I tried to change the spec of the motor, the ESC, the battery etc. but I can't find the right combination to eliminate this problem.

Could somebody tell me what piece of the puzzle is critical for hovering?

I try to make my calculation for a single rotor, dividing the "estimated" weight of the copter by 4. Does it make sense?

  • One moment. What do want to calculate? A multirotor? With airscrew? ->use the prop calculator and take 50-60% of the calculated thrust. Multiply this number by the no of motors = total weight of you copter incl payload.

    Good luck
