I was browsing through a few forum and I like the idea of using the iphone as the transmitter and control the quad. But I am not sure where to start from. I have got a few questions (which may be silly):
1. What kind of a receiver can you use to control the quad?
2. Can I try this kind of a thing in Hardware in the Loop simulation (HILS)? If yes, then what are the additional shields required for the APM board?
It is a really cool thing to work on, but I really don't know where to start from. I could really use some help to get started.

It's easy to do (just buy a WiFi Receiver like this one) but isn't very popular. Poor range, poor controls.
