Will the APM2.5 drive the cheapie gimbal sold by RCTimer?

I see thatRCTimer has a cheapie $99 gimbal with brushless motors.

They state that this gimbal needs a special driver board (an extra 63 dollars).. I was wondering if this extra board is required, or can the gimbal be set up to be controlled by the APM using the Mission Planner 'gimbal set up utility'?

You need a motor controller to convert the PWM out from the APM to a signal that can control the gimbal motors.
