Winter storage for UAVs.

Hello, I have a question regarding UAV storage during the winter. Can the electronics on the UAV survive in my garage (no heating) with the outside temperatures going about 18F? The electronics in question are:

1) Himax HC5030-390: Spec sheet gives maximum case temp, but no minimum.

2) Castle Creations ICE2 HV80: I don't see any info on temperatures...

3) Zippy Compact 3300, 10S LiPo battery.

4) 9DOF Stick - ADXL345, HMC5843, and ITG3200: The spec sheet for all three say they should be okay into 30C below, but just want to double check.

    Geonsik Lee,

I should think all your electronics should be fine however don't store you batteries out there under those conditions. It's also best to store your batteries with a storage charge. See the chart below for various battery chemistry.

3692580680?profile=originalThere are many excellent chargers that can apply a storage charge automatically, by either charging or discharging the cells to the appropriate voltage automatically.

Whatever you do be sure to monitor the process and make sure the process terminates appropriately.
