Wiring issue with my quadcopter

Hi,
I have been building a quadcopter over the last few weeks, I had all the ESC's connected up to a standard 1.3amp 7.4v RC battery and everything seemed to work except there wasnt enough power to drive all 4 ESC's and motors on the 1.3 amp battery so i bought a 5.2amp 7.4v battery, i connected it up and checked all the connection everything seemed fine. However when i started to spin up the motors suddenly one ESC started to smoke.... I powered down but now the ESC is screwed.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what could have happend? There were no shorts the ESC can cope with 30Amp each the new battery is rated at 5.2amps but can cope with 112amp drain.

I am a little lost on this at the moment, i have ordered a new ESC but i dont want to connect it all back up and the same thing happen again.

Thanks
Chris

    Hi,
Just to be sure- Do you have all of the ESCs in parallel? All red wires together and all black wires together?
