XBee + XtreamBee + FTDI Basic Breakout = Problem ?

Hi fellows!

Im lil sick in these days, bored to lying down to the bed. So i want to test my new stuff but i had a problem with XBees.

Here is the part list;

XBee Pro 900 XSC RPSMA

XtreamBee Board

FTDI Basic Breakout

When i try to connect XBee with digi's X-CTU tool, it shows me these errors.

And here is the cabling;

I tried bouth positions on XtreamBee (Master/Slave) but it didnt work. When i try to force write rx/tx leds going crazy and then  2nd error screen appears. I tried to reset XBee (connected reset pin to GND) but nothing happens again.

And  tested all solderings, they seems good. I'm really confused atm + sickness= im gonna be crazy :)

if you have any idea or experience pls share with me

    Ersin,

    What baud rate have you set in X-CTU? It should be 9600 to initially communicate with the Xbee modules.

    Also, Tx out of the Xbee module should go to Rx on the USB adapter and Tx out of the USB adapter should go to Rx on the Xbee module.

  • It seems to me you are missing some wires. If you look at this picture from the DIY drones store of the breakout board for Xbee they are using all of the wires there:

    I have used Xbee before but not with in this set up. I just bought the USB adapter from parallax.
