Yaw mapping camera/gimble along track in crosswind

Hi

I'm using Arduplane for mapping/survey work and would dearly love to enable the camera gimbal to yaw towards the next waypoint in a grid. This would mean the photo frames would be aligned with the track when flying with a crosswind. And achieve better more accurate overlap.

Is this possible?

Of course I can get approximate this with manual control but then its just a guess as to the real angle, does not compensate for disturbance in yaw and of course reverses at the start of the next run with crosswind from other side of aircraft. I'm quite new to Arduplan so apologise if this is a feature already that I have missed.

Thanks

  • I'm not clear what you mean? Do you have a yaw gimbal on an airplane? I've never hear of that, I'd love to see some photos.
