A possible fix for slow USB on Androids older than 4.2 - testers needed

Hi ya'll,

Can one of you experienced Andropilot users who have the following configuration try something for me?

Required test configuration:

  • An android older than 4.2
  • USB OTG link to a 3DR or XBee radio (not direct APM connection or bluetooth or UDP)
  • And you've noticed slow parameter downloading

Try this binary: https://github.com/downloads/geeksville/arduleader/andropilot-1.2.15-market.apk

And report back to tell me if it it is substantially faster to fetch the parameters compared to 1.2.13?

This is a test build and though it won't risk your vehicle, after reporting success or failure, I'd recommend going back to 1.2.13 until I can make an official release with this change...

    Seams faster on my Galaxy S3 running 4.12

    Loads Params fast now, HUD has very small delay.

    about 3 updates ago it was working well on my Motorola Photon Q, the last few updates would not do anything. This one is perfect, nearly no lag at all. It is a massive work you have done Kevin, and I for one appreciate it, as I am sure all others in this group do too.
