TCP?UDP Connection & mavlink messages

Hi,

I am currently working on a project aimed at being able to control an AR.Drone 2 with an on-board Paparazzi autopilot from Android via Andropilot. My problem is, that I just can't get Andropilot to show me anything on the HUD, in the parameters window or waypoints. I am sending all the (I think) appropriate mavlink messages via UDP (if I use the TCP option, nothing works anymore). So far the only thing I could get out of Andropilot was a heartbeat and, when I replied to its RC channel override messages, the RC channel raw values.

My question is, if there is a specific message sequence that I should use or are there any messages that Andropilot specifically listens to?

Furthermore, I would like to be able to control the drone via manual control, but without an RC transmitter. Does Andropilot give me an option for this (like for example Droidplanner does with the virtual joystick)?

Thanks a lot,

Tamás
