I seem to be having an issue with my APM2.0 board where only the rudder nudges while in any of the Auto modes ie Auto, Loiter & RTL. All controls work fine in Manual, Stabilize & FBW-A. While in Auto modes all servos move to stabilize when rocking the plane.
The only time nudging works is when USB is plugged in AND "Connected" to Mission planner.
Same problem when powered from two power sources, link removed. GPS locked.

Answering my own question.
This was happening because the GCS Failsafe & Failsafe Long was selected and the GCS Tx/Rx was never connected.
I believe 2.71 addresses this issue.
