arduplane 2.75 firmware problems

Have previously had v2.74b loaded and had no big issues really.

When I loaded this new firmware v2.75, I did a setup/reset.

It looks great with lots of new features and one I like is to be able to retain previously calibrated gyro settings.

My issue is this firmware wont let me configure my battery capacity, I get an error message saying invalid number entered.

Having the rctimer voltage & current sensor; using a 3S 5000mAh battery; setup V&C sensor as usual on the appropriate pins on the apm 2.5 board.

In previous versions I select 'voltage and current' on 1st drop down box/ '5000'mAh in bat capacity window: 'other' in 2nd drop down box and 'APM 2.5 non 3dr' in the 3rd drop down box.

When I enter my actual voltage measured (around 12.6v) in the measured bat voltage box I get an 'invalid number entered'

The battery volt calculated fluctuates around 8v.

Can't get it to enter the correct voltage, not even close. The voltage divider isn't working and get the same error message. I then go to open 'flight data window and error message comes up also.

This is an issue as I've reloaded v2.74b again and no problems at all.

Any one else having these dramas??

Love to see this sorted

Cheers all

Rich

  • I had a similar issue where loading 2.75 changed my voltage of a full battery from 12.6v to about 8v. I was able to change the voltage multiplier until I read 12.6 again.
Something happen to the voltage when loading 2.75, it's not MP because I never attempted to change anything until I saw the Voltage Warning on my OSD.

    Hi Rich,

This may be a bug in the MissionPlanner data entry checks.

Have you tried setting up the BATT_* parameters via the "Full Parameter List"? That should allow for any values to be entered.

    Cheers, Tridge
