Geo Tagging TetraCam Images

I have been having trouble getting my TetraCam time stamp to sync with the APM log following the instructions found at http://diydrones.com/profiles/blog/show?id=705844%3ABlogPost%3A1054809&page=5#comments  I have read in an older forum that the APM timestamp was eventually to be reported as UNIX time in milliseconds.  I have taken the nine digit number I find in my flight logs assuming it is in fact UNIX, and converted it to EST/EDT and it gives me a time in 1974.  Has anyone else had this experience?  Better yet, does anyone know what I might be doing wrong.

Thanks!

the time in the log is milliseconds from midnight, usually. with no date reference.

Check the datestamp on your images, as that comes into play as well.
