I would like to study current vs speed of my Skywalker as Andrew Tridgell did in his Tuning the Techpod blog. It sounds like he just put it in circle mode (a large radius I assume) and manually increased speed over a period of 20 mins.
I could ask him how he did it, but though it might be useful to others if I post as a discussion. I also did not want to hijack the Techpod blog. Hopefully he'll comment here.
Ideally, I would like to set up a repeating racetrack pattern and have the airspeed increase by a given value at the start of each lap. I would prefer a pattern with straight legs to avoid the drag incurred in a continuous turn, though this may be insignificant.
(For illustration only. The track is way too small for my SW.)
I would also like to do some rate of climb testing, but would again like to use a repeating pattern rather than a long distance flight. In this case, rather than increasing airspeed, I would like the plane's target alt to increase by a given amount with each straight leg.
Would anyone know if there is already a way to do this?
Thanks for any input.
