Telemetry

Hi! all

i can't connect APM planner 1.2.12 with Arduplane 2.60/3/5 (APM 1) in baud rate of 19200. It is normal at that baud rate or need something to fix. baud rate config is made through Arduino 1.0.1.

There should be no reason for not being able to communicate at 19200 over the air. I would recommend dropping physical interface speed to be lower as to help not to saturate the link, but the docs say that APM will handle this with MAVlink framing. See http://code.google.com/p/ardupilot-mega/wiki/3DRadio for more info

I'm going through this in more detail at the moment as I am seeing issues with link restoration after a brown out on the plane. I don't understand why the link is just not restored.
  • Hi Vincent,

default baud rate for USB is 115200, for telemetry port 57600. I don't think you get reliable communication if you bring it down to 19200.

    Cheers, Serge
