I was requested to conduct feasibility studies on All-Solar Boat to cross an ocean Challenge.

I am collecting information, technical data on successful all-solar boat projects

to build All-solar Boat to cross an ocean Simulator, fed with ocean weather on-line data, ocean currents live data, insolation live data

to calculate the size of the boat (= size of solar panels - semi-flexible), capacity of batteries ( Li-Ion, Li-PO ), electric motor HP (twin motors ?)

to get general estimates on project costs ( satellite modem telemetry transmission,  remote control data transfer costs included).

Please let me know your opinion and join the All-Solar Boat Challenge

with your interest, expertize and advice.

Project started by Mitch but in my opinion, to succeed, we need 10-20-man-team to discuss all the issues and have all risks contained.

I would like to start with free floating all-solar GPS probes to study ocean currents.

What seems to be solved at first is to get a licence from Customs Office,

since cargo is to be delivered from one country to another country,

crossing an ocean, subject to crosss border control.
