Hello folks, I seem to be having an issue during my programming phase of my Y6 build.

-3DR y6 frame

-3DR: Pixhawk, ublox Gps, 915mhz telemetry

-jDrones 20ESC's (6x)

-jDrones 850kv motors (6x)

-3DR 5.8ghz Video Transmitter kit

-GoPro Hero3+

-Turnigy 9XR w/ Frsky XJT module & X8R receiver (X8R sbus to pixhawk RC connection)

Upon flashing the pixhawk, I attempted to calibrate the gps and this is where my first issue came up.

My results were -104.32 (approx), 95.67, 17.00 (final number can't recall exactly). Do these numbers make sense and if not what could be a potential cause?

Secondly and most importantly upon setting up the transmitter for calibration, binding seems to be successful between the XJT module (green flashing/red solid) and X8R receiver (solid green) which seems to also indicate that there is proper binding between the Turnigy 9XR and the XJT module. The issue I'm currently stuck with is upon calibrating the transmitter within mission planner i'm getting zero function from the transmitter thus each calibration results in 1500max column and zero in both min and centre values.

What could be the cause of such issue?

In the Turnigy 9XR menu settings i have deleted the current model(settings) and the new one is set to

PPM-8ch-300.

Any help would be appreciated, as I'm very much looking forward to finally getting an opportunity to attempt my first drone flight.

Thanks in advance!!!

  • Your calibration numbers are more or less ok(bytheway, that was magnetometer calibration)...for transmitter I don't know
