Hi all,
I am having the same issue and can not find any information regarding this issue.. :( any help please ?
And as way of a bump....me too! Green light only - blue?red briefly flash on start up, but it's completely dead otherwise. Cause unclear - was sitting in my spares drawer for 6 months, and worked perfectly before it went in.
I had a similar problem a while back. I could not usb connect and had a red light. I had popped the 3v regulator. I plugged in one of the receiver channels into the APM with it under power and the regulator popped. Randy helped me figure it out. I replaced the regulator and everything is OK. I don't know if this is your problem or not but it is what mine was doing.
Hello Stefano,
Did you get the problem solved? I'am facing the same problem, the only thing what my board is writing in the terminal is this:
After this it stops and nothing more.
Thanks,
Hermann
Same exact behavior except I have a red alive led
Same problem here. Apm 2.5 less than a year old. Never abused. Just flew a few packs no problem. Plugged in a fresh pack and let GPS lock. After a couple of minutes it died. Esc's started beeping like signal was lost. Plug it in and leds flash, then go out. Alive led is lit, then goes Dim. Not able to connect over USB. I'm wondering is there was a manufacturing defect? I have about 50 flights nothings changed. Just suddenly DOA.what next??
I have an identical problem. Sequence of events:
1. open box
2. connected to pc
3. pc sees devices
4. connects to mission planner ok
5. after 2 minutes device disconnects (devices disco from pc)
6. new state achieved (broken)
Now it'll power up, green light stays lit, reset button will flash a couple of the leds but no connection to pc at all. Never had any burt-electronics smells or any other "event" that would justify a basic firmware usb/serial device getting destroyed.
Message sent through 3dr's support page. Now I'll find out if they support their products - not a question I really ever wanted to test.
What did you do to it in those 12 hours between when it worked and didn't work?
Did you perhaps short it by touching some pins together while it was powered? How about those big metal screws that are holding it to the bottom of the case...is it possible that those are shorting some traces or pins?
To be honest, i'm grasping at straws, i have no idea really.
I'd guess that the issue is that the driver has not installed properly on your machine. You have other APM2s that connect ok?
