APM 2.5 not communicating with computer HELPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys well im still stuck without a working APM. I plug into my computer and TX light comes on (one of the 2 orange lights) but the RX light stay off. What is the problem? I cant get into test or anything just says no heart beat packages received from APM. Been like that since I cut the compass trace. Any ideas im really at a loss what to do next.

    Well to be honest with u ben I don't see why I should be paying 3DR for a repair its under warranty as ive only had it for about 2 maybe 3 months. Do u know how long the warranty lasts for?

    have you got an external compass?

    Does the computer detect the APM?
