I never use automatic take off yet, I always take off in stab, then switch lo Pos hold and, if all looks well, I switch to auto not ot have surprises but last days I try to take off automatic and nothing happens, for shure I'm forgetting something or doing something bad; what I did: with a tablet and Tower I wrote a mission, first waypoint I set as take off, then I armed the cuad and then I raise the throttle but nothing happens, any idea??.
My two copters never spin when I armed as latest firms says that they have to do but I never worry about that because I fly alone, perhaps something relative to that? Thank's

The props not spinning when armed could be because the ESCs haven' been calibrated.
Re the takeoff, make sure the first command in the mission is a takeoff command. Then when you're ready, arm the vehicle in stabilize or Loiter, switch the flight mode to Auto and then raise the throttle.

You can have the props spin when armed if you like.Change the parameter.Select no spin,very slow,slow,or fast spin when armed.
