Dear group,
I've finally managed to put up a complete list of components for my new hexacopter, whose main purpose is aerial videography (no jello effect, >10 minutes flight time, take winds well).
Can some kind sould tell me any obvious mismatches I've made, so that I don't spend $1.5K in a mistake? That would seriously be appreciated :)
So, here it goes:
Electronics
- ArduPilot Mega 2.5 + Ublox GPS
- 3DR radio telemetry Kit (433 Hz)
- Current Sensor
- RX (AR6200)
- UBEC for the RX
Frame and mounts
- Heavy weight SIXcopter frame
- Landing legs (155mm)
- GoPro 2-axis gimbal mount, servos and vibrations dampeners
- Support plate
Camera
All of the previous components' cumulated weight is 1,219g.
Drive
- Tiger Motor MT3506-25 (650)
- HobbyKing ESC (Turnigy 20A)
- Propellers (SlowFly 12x4.5, normal rotation)
- Propellers (SlowFly 12x4.5, right hand rotation)
- 2 x Batteries (5000mAh 4S 20C)
- 2 x Battery strap
I'm still probably missing some cables / adapters. Hopefully not many.
When I put all of this in ecalc, this is what I get, and it seems promising:
Any recommendations on missing components / obvious mistakes / other warmly welcome.
Thank you in advance,
r.

Transmitter?
DIYDrones have recently started selling a Current/Voltage + regulator module:

You could use this instead of the Current sensor and UBEC
You'll want a power distribution board too:
