Cant load arduplane over arducopter

I have the arducopter and I bought a SkyFun FunJet to give that a try! But I'm having a problem and that's I cant load the code! Something about there's not enough room on the 1280? is the error message I get in the MP'er. So would someone be able to tell me what I'm doing wrong?

We no longer support the old 1280 board. You need to upgrade to a 2560 board or use older software (ArduPlane 2.24 or below)
