  • It does for me.  regarding the telemetry and radio range, I usually set up a geo fence as a failsafe.  I don't think those rely on radio or telemetry range, but I've not actually tested it.

    Ed,

        Yes, it should.  If you use the ch7 switch it'll change the flight mode out of Auto and into RTL so Auto is no longer active and shouldn't try to take back control.  It's a subtle thing but there is a slight difference between the flight mode RTL and the mission command RTL.  If you to invoke RTL during a mission you'll see that it actually stays in auto mode the whole time (i think!).  This is because AUTO, in it's overlord like way, is keeping control of what's going on.

    I have a question to you to add to this. The copter should be in telemetry range of your transmitter, right? I guess this is about a mile for Xbee?

    When copter gets out of range it would switch to Auto (If I aren't wrong here). How can you get it back home (RTL) in this situation?
