Well dad and i are in the middle of setting up a hex to do aerial photography and have trusted it to amp 2.6 First few flight have gone great. got in an auto tune and hex seems to be flying really nice. I haven't flown it yet just dad. we have 25 + years flying rc each so not newbies to the rc . well this last flight it crashed. i wasnt there but have had big discussions with dad over what i read from the log and what he tells me happened. first he swears he took off in stab. from the log says it was in loiter not a biggy, he seems to have it under control but definitely strange, well the crash happen upon turning on RTL. dad believes he took off with rtl on as first push of the switch did nothing wasn't until returning it to original position it worked. dont know if this makes any difference, it lifted to 20m like told the shot off over his right shoulder at nearly 70kph. i cant find anything to why this happened gps lock and hdop look fine. the speed was way faster than it should have been flying and where was it off to?. why did it crash?. lucky for us the camera and gimbal wasnt installed yet or the loss would have be huge. this one crash has made dad lose all faith in this system, flick a switch to have a fly off.
please help explain it so we can keep flying apm

Have you tested loiter/RTL before with success?
It looks like a glitch, or compass issue. Can you post a picture of your setup?
