MP showing battery_voltage @11.03

MP showing battery_voltage @11.03, actual pack is currently @14.5

I wanted to set my battery alarm but the voltage is not correct.

The flight only got down to 11.0

APM 2.6 with Telemetry w 3.01 firmware

Is this supposed to be the pack voltage or something else?

Thanks, Ed,

  • Randy,

I set it just like you have it, for me 13.8(3.45 per cell[4s]), also the Battery Capacity mAH, 4200 (not sure if I needed to or if I need to change it if I change the battery in the field)

Checked MP Alert on Battery, Im pretty sure that's completely separate from the failsafe one that I have unchecked.

Im thinking about checking it but if it went off I assume it would follow the same drop down as I have set for throttle failsafe, continue if Auto, else RTL, and thats what I would want.

    Thanks, Ed,

Ok, I've updated the wiki here. so hopefully people will see that and it'll save them some troubles.  I haven't outlined how to calibrate the current reading although it involves modifying the at "Amperes per volt" field so that it matches the reading from a power analyser.

    Edgar,

Sounds like you need to calibrate the voltage reading.  To do this first measure the battery voltage with a hand-held volt meter.  Then on the MP's INITIAL SETUP > Optional Hardware > Battery Monitor page set the "Sensor" to "0:Other" and then fill in the real battery voltage in the "Measured battery voltage" field.  You're not the first person to ask this question so clearly it's not explained in the wiki.  I'll sort that out shortly.
