I had an issue with my former Mr Red X8 coaxial octo because I had to place APM high enough for compassmot. As a consequence I could not use my default protective dome.
I was acompanying my wife in one of her latest gardening shopping's spree when I noticed a 2US$ flower pot that could find a better use than hosting dirt:

I just slit the top to pass the GPS module through :
It holds with just four velcro straps, attached to the center plate.

I was afraid to leave the GPS inside. I have heard that plastic based on carbon block waves.
That is awesome Hugues, and it really doesn't look dorky. I would think the GPS would be just fine under the plastic dome though, mine seems to work just fine that way. Then you could stick a flower out of the top :)
