Ok, I am going to ask something that might be a little bit stupid for more advanced users unlike me.
I started a dys quad-copter based on Arducopter 2.5.
Since my ESC are optocoupled I initially power the APM board through a 3DR power module replica that after the first couple of test flights blew out. Still don't know why but no tension whatsoever in any of the output. Neither 12V nor 5.5V came across it ever again.
I turned to the UBEC power solution for a while and now I am using a power distribution board with a regulated BEC that powers the APM board through an output port and so it has been doing the thing.
Now, I am upgrading to a octo coaxial which will make use of all the output ports for the eight ESC, Moreover I will use my eight radio channels so I am also without input ports available.
So the question is: can I power the APM with an UBEC connected through the PWR port?
Thank you so much for your kind help.

I never try like that, wait for confirmation for shure but sounds possible.
I'm not shure if understand well what you ask (not english language) but if you have octoesc (I have them) they don't power your outputs pins (I had a headhache discovering that uff), so you have to power your APM from a Power module or a Bec, you need 5V, if you have the correct connector it's supose the same from PM port, here you have more info http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/common-measuring-battery-voltage-a...
Here you can see the 5v circuit http://copter.ardupilot.com/wiki/common-autopilots/common-apm25-and...
Thank you Cala.
I don't want to use a power module and since I have optoescs and all the input and outputs are already taken my question is if APM can be powered by an UBEC connected to GND and VCC of the power port as long the right voltage is provided.
I believe it is possible but would like to know for sure.
