I have fixed the problem with the motors by calibrating the ESC's but I have encountered another problem. When I go to take off the quad flips over the left side. I have tried calibrating sensors and adjusting the P and I gains but there is no difference. Help is much appreciated.

Most often this is caused by one of the motors spinning in the wrong direction or the configuration being set-up as "+" (plus) when it should be "x" or the other way around.
I guess you've already double checked the direction that all the motors are spinning in and compared it to the images near the bottom of this wiki page?
