Hi I was doing some testing with my Hex in auto mode. I planned a takeoff 2 way points and rtl. 100 foot alt for the whole deal. The machine left here fine rose to 100 feet and went to way point 2. Upon getting to 2 and just as it headed to 3 the thing started doing some rolls and flips. I was a little put back by this as i did not this nor ever seen this sort of flying from my machine. I did not get any warnings on the laptop but grabbed the rc transmitter and hit the RTL it slowly returned back to me but was bobbling some and at this point I did not trust a thing except my flying. In line of sight switched to stabilize and landed it without a issue. I have provided some logs here if anyone can diagnose what went on. I have Apm 2.5 but do have external compass just have not done the mod yet. This was the last edition of the hexa from 3DR so its a real clean install. The only thing I saw was gps going from 10 to I think it was 8? But I did not have time to mess around as this is my photo rig and I am sure the footage will be interesting to say the least :-) Thanks in advance to the guru's. FYI I don't usually do any auto missions but I am building a AG photo plane and figured it would be time to try it out. At least we didn't loose anything but a set of clean underwear ......
