Readiness for 3.0 ? (APM2.5 OCTO QUAD)

Hello,

I just finished my conversion from quad to OCTO quad. I installed 10" 4,7 props on top and 11" 4,7 props on bottom. I get a hover at full lbattery at 55% throttle for an AUW of 3.9 Kg (almost 8 pounds).

Among which 2 4S 4500 batteries (almost 1Kg or 2 pounds of batteries).

Before I upgrade to 3.0 I wanted to check that I did not have any issues with magnetic field or vibrations.

I got the following figures for Z accel : plus or minus 1,5. Is this good enough for 3.0 ?

For the magfield the following: is this ok ? (I notice the global magfield varies a bit when throttle is on, thus direct impact of the motors on magfield. Is this a problem ?)

I think you're looking pretty good.  Vibes look within tolerance.

Mag field hardly moves as you raise the throttle.  The only thing is that you might want to re-do the compass "Live Calibration".  The mag field moves a lot for a short time while the copter is flipped on it's side(perhaps to connect/disconnect the battery?).  Maybe this is just a glitch and we shouldn't worry about it...I was thinking that it could indicate that you need to re-do the "Live Calibration" of the compass ... but maybe it's ok as-is.

    Hugues,

If during that test you were running up the motors and the props were attached then it looks to me like you have no problems with magnetic interference.  Feel free to attach the whole tlog and I'll have a closer look.  For vibration it's best to attach the dataflash logs with the RAW message enabled.
