Using 3DR Y6, Tarot gimbal and Mission Planner we have played around with ROI settings and have noticed strange behavior. If I set the ROI Altitude at 1m and the waypoints at 40m the following happens.

The drone will face the ROI and track it just fine and it will even switch to the next ROI as needed.

But, the gimbal only tilts when the drone actually flies within ten meters of the ROI. As the drone continues its flight and moves away from the ROI the camera snaps back 90 degrees and looks forward. If the ROI is not even close to the flight path the tilt never occurs. We have tried variations on waypoints and the tilt only works when the drone gets really close to where the ROI is set.

What should I look into to start troubleshooting?
