Balloon Flight 7-3-13 New Mexico

Hi, this is Earl. We did a balloon flight 7/3/13 from Edgewood, New Mexico.

We reached an altitude of 89994 feet this time.

This is first of 10 flights this summer.

You can go to aprs.fi and search for KE5VSH* and display the data from -2 and -3. You can see why we run 2 units.

On board were:

2 APM 2.0's running 3.1 firmware (just to tell orientation of package and climb rate)

3DR 433 mhz telemetry

3DR 900 mhz telemetry

2 APRS telemetry units (KE5VSH-2 and KE5VSH-3)

1 ActionPro 1080i camera (GoPro knockoff)

2 Veho muvi cameras with 16 Gb memory

1.5 watt 1.2 Ghz live video feed with circular antenna polarization

3 6000 mah Lipo batteries (TV Tx-APRS-2-APRS-3)

2 1000 mah lipo batteries (for muvi cameras)

1 GPS separate package with its own battery

We recovered the package 4 hours later 60 miles south west of launch in the National forest.
The max speed reached was 107 Mph
Max altitude was 89994 feet

Found by tracking 2 meter APRS signal. One mile off  Forest Rd. 422. Son JLC on team found it.

The stuff NOT recovered:
1 APRS 2 meter dipole antenna
1 APRS GPS hockey puck unit
1 Video Tx antenna
1 ActionPro camera
1 muvi camera
1 IR package
1 camera holding strap

NO video recorded...
NO APM data on card

Now to figure out what happened.
