Hi guys, can anyone point me to UAV based businesses in or nearby Vancouver, BC?
The nearest I've found is Accuas (aerial survey, way out in Salmon Arm, BC), and I've heard there is a local company doing multirotor platforms for film production, but haven't been able to find them yet. There's also the Skookum Robotics guys who make great flybarless controllers for trad helis.
Any help appreciated, thanks.

I see that this is a pretty old feed BUT if anyone is still interested, I went with these guys for coverage:

Just looping back on my own question to add a couple of new UAV businesses in Vancouver... mine!
www.skymount.com - UAV aerial services
www.steadidrone.ca - Canada reseller for SteadiDrone multi-rotors
The reason I was initially asking about businesses in the area was because I was hoping to get involved with an existing company, but I decided in the end to launch something myself. Fingers crossed!

I'm a bit far from Vancouver (ONtario), but this initiative souinds interesting.
I have some contact information on probable insurance sources to apply for SFOC if anyone needs it.
Hey,
There are several companies. I work for Stratus Aeronautics in Burnaby (stratus-aero.com). There is also West Coast Geomatics, Gaurdian and Meridian Aerial Solutions. There are several quadcopter movie guys as well. There could be more things are moving very fast in the UAV world.
Also, each municipality has a Film Office with staff who have contact information for everyone who has ever applied for a permit. They can provide some secondary leads to pursue. -peter
